In the first chapter of the Book of Matthew, we readers are entreated to the genealogy of Jesus Christ right from Abraham down to our Saviour Himself. Most, if not all, have overlooked an important detail included in this genealogy, the special mention of five women blessed by God to be part of the lineage of grace.

Live the life that God has planned out for you! Have a faith that Rahab had amidst your broken past, the hope that Tamar had for the Lord in times of injustice, the obedient servant’s heart of Mary, Ruth’s sacrificial love, and to remember that like what God has done to Bathsheba, He is a God of unlimited grace.
