5 Steps toward Experiencing God’s Power through Christ

Step 1: Strengthen Your Inner Man

Verse 16, “that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,”[NKJV]

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.”(2 Cor. 4:6 - NKJV)

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Col.3:16)

Step 2: Christ Must Dwell In Your Heart

Verse 17: “Then Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,”(NJKV)

Step 3: The Incomprehensible Love Of God

Verse 18: “may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height”(NKJV)

“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” [Romans 5:5-8]

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” [1 John 4:7-11]

Step 4: Experience the love of Christ

Verse 19: “to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. [NKJV]

“and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 4:7 NKJV]

Step 5: The Tremendous Power Of God

Verse 20: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” [NKJV]

“For the Spirit of God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not be faint.” [Isaiah 40:28-31]

Conclusion

God has given us everything for us to enjoy life according to His promise. All we have to do is to activate it and see His power working in us. But we could only do that if our INNER MAN is stronger, CHRIST DWELL IN OUR HEART, we possess the INCONPREHENSIBLE LOVE OF GOD, EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF CHRIST and the TREMENDOUS POWER OF GOD will be working in us…
